Why am I not as they?
All i got was that, she is talking about her female ancestors. And how strong they were, they didnt need a man to work the fields to grow the food, and yet did everything a woman had to do, like cleaning , cooking, and even making pottery.
And she is not strong as they are, because she is a modern woman who doesnt have to do all that.

It sounds like the author misses a time period they never lived through, and its a romantic poem about a life they dream about.
