has anyone ever made tuna helper with a can of salmon instead of tuna?
if you've tried this, how did it turn out?
if you haven't, do you think it would taste ok? would you adjust anything else in the recipe to make it work?
i know there are a couple of different tuna helper flavors and i'd like to use the salmon instead for both of them if it would work.
i would do it because i'm pregnant so i'm not supposed to eat a lot of tuna. i make it because i'm tired and it's easy.
Yes I do, it tastes better but the only downfall is you have to pick the bones out first. Canned salmon have bones they are soft and edible but need to removed before using in Tuna Helper. Just drain, pick bones and flake then add as you would tuna.
I also make salmon patties by draining the salmon.

Flake with a fork add 4 eggs beaten, sauteed onion, green onion tops chopped not much salt though. form into patties and roll in flour and brown in a skillet ! Delish!!!
