Cat fleas bite me? :( ?

Ok so we have had marble our cat for little over a yr and he has never had fleas till now! the other day we notcied i was getting bit on my ankels and we just though it was mosquetos! well then i notcied lil black things jumping off marble all n all i have bathed marble put on a new flea coller and used a flea n tick killer! my ankles are so swollen and itchy. I have gotten sprays n carpets powders to clean thehouse with so far nothing help me with getting rid of them n helping my poor ankles

Got myself a 12 week old kitten a month ago. Was riddled in fleas. Took him to the vets for his jab and asked about the fleas.
Was told to hoover everywhere (under the sofa, in all the cracks, along the skirting board, etc, etc). I then sprayed R.I.P Fleas throughout my dust free home. I'd bought this product from my vets. I'd also got him spot on from the vets. Advocate is probably the best brand spot on. Anything from the supermarket is not going to do a great job. He was flea free within 2 days.
So... get rid of the fleas. Do they bite? The vet said that fleas are not interested in humans. They would quite happily walk over you and not bother you, although they may give you a little bite from time to time. They're far too interested in dogs and cats to go hunting humans. I'm no vet, but I'm pretty sure that fleas are not going to go for a specific part of your body either. Get rid of the fleas, break the cycle of them laying eggs, and then see how your ankles are. Good luck.
