New rescued cat, biter, wont take worming tabs in food, please help?

We have a rescued cat who is a hunter. We need to worm him regularly. He has bitten me three times, and I am afraid to try pill poppers, shoving it down his throat. He has refused to eat three different types of food with the pill crushed through it. HELP!

He won't eat the food with the pill if it's drontal - it has an awful taste! Ask your vet to give you a tube of Profender - it's not cheap, but it's a spot on treatment like a flea treatment, and it even works on tapeworm. Don't confuse it with Revolution, which only takes care of roundworms in addition to fleas and mites, etc. - this isn't a flea treatment, it's a wormer, and quite new.
