I want to take my daughters on a great Ozark vacation, excluding Branson, on the water &prefer a cabin. Ideas?

We'll need a kitchen. We'll have 5-7 days and there will be 4 of us.
We would like to be on the water with access to float trips, horseback riding, hiking, swimming and general relaxation. We don't need a 5-star place but not a Motel 6 either. I want my girls, all young adults, to have a vacation to remember a lifetime as this is the first vacation we'll have taken. My baby is off to college in the fall so it's now or never. Anyone know of that special place?
