Is it normal for catnip to affect a cat like this?
i gave my kitten a little refillable KONG catnip toy yesterday, he was all *purr purr purr* and rubbing himself up against it. But after about 15 minutes he got sick of it.
I gave it to him again today, and he completely ignored it... I even put the pure catnip in front of him and he ignored that too!
However, ever since yesterday he has been about 10x more friendly than he used to be(he's always been quite friendly, but now he's all hugs and cuddles, all the time)
Is this because of the catnip? Does it really last that long? How come he doesn't respond to it since yesterday?
He does have food and water, I thought he was hungry when the friendly started(normally he's only really nice to my partner, not me) so I got him some food and he just ignored it. It's nice that he's being so super friendly though 
just say meow!!
