Is it too soon to ask for my vicodin refill?
I have an annular tear on my spine and sometimes the pain gets pretty bad. I go to physical therapy and it helps some but I have to rely on pain meds a lot. My recent prescription was 30 pills- 30 day supply with 2 refills. It has only been 26 days..is this too soon to get a refill? My town if filled with pill poppers and even though my situation is legit I still feel like the people at the pharmacy think I am one myself. Maybe I am just paranoid but I hate getting them filled anyway much less getting them filled early.. So, do you think it's too early?

If you need more pain relief than you get from taking your medication as it's prescribed, you need to go back to the doctor and get help with better pain management. Especially if you have insurance, you may not be allowed to fill the prescription early.
Another issue to think about is what's going to happen when you run out of refills. If that happens, your doctor may be reluctant to write a new prescription, so it's really important to let him know that the Vicodin is not managing your pain.
Don't worry about what other people think. Be concerned about getting better.
