Has anyone heard if Purina Pro Plan causes cancer in dogs?
I had to put my dog to sleep 3 days ago because of a massive cancerous tumor in her stomach. Someone told me their dog had cancer and was using Pro Plan, and that their vet thought the same thing. I switched my dog to Pro Plan about 3 years ago. If anyone knows anything about this please share the information. Thanks in advance.

No, this is not at all true. I think in the wake of the pet food scare (which was obviously real) a lot of paranoia started erupting.
Of course it's smart to pay attention to what we give our pets, but that scare was based on a specific contaminant and a specific cause of death (acute kidney failure).
And beware of third hand information about what a vet says. Besides, many of them aren't experts on nutrition or are trying to promote certain brands.
I'm sorry about your dog, but don't feel guilty about what you fed him.
