What is the recommended dose of fish oil Omega 3 EPA & DHA for super-dry and itchy skin?
I've been taking prescription medication for super-itchy skin and it has helped, but I've gained 30 pounds in 6 months (15 pounds in the first month alone!) on the prescription medicines, so I'd like to try starting Omega 3 oils and tapering off the medicines before I get any fatter.
I've read the dose of EPA should be 10-20 mg per pound of body weight for skin problems in pets. Is the dose the same for humans? What's the best kind of fish oil to take?
