Why is my cat afraid of strawberries?
Every time I pull out a box of strawberries my cat runs in the other direction. If you hold one out to her she squints her eyes and then runs and hides under the bed. She is usually very affectionate but she wont let me near her if she can smell the scent of strawberries on my hand. From what I've read, most cats love strawberries and react to them similar to catnip. She loves catnip but she's never reacted like this to anything else. Just wondering if anyone had some insight, it seems so strange to me!
Maybe she's allergic to them and feels that it hazardous to her, so she runs away from it. But I really have no other idea why she would do that...
