sorry another question... outdoor kitty??
ok so i live in england and this early morning was sunny... MIRACLE lol.
i decided to take my 3 month old kitten, Romeo, in the bak yard ... he was using a harness and leash.
we stayed there for 20 mins i guess, then i had to go inside to do th house work. when i closed the door he kept miawing and miawing and miawing and was trying to open the door. at the moment hez sleeping, but when he wakes up he tends to run for the kitchen and miaws at the door.
i do not think my bakyard is safe for him because he can access neighbours yards very easily and both my neighbours have bad dogs plus they normally hang around there. im so scared if he gets attacked...
what am i supose to do?? and also he cant run with the harness lol? poor thing was trying to enjoy and the leash was on its way......
what to do?? plz help...how can i make him stop from wanting to go outside??
I hate to say it but the best way to keep a kitten from wanting to go outside is to never bring them outside in the first place. They are natural predators and find the outside a wonderful place. Since you have taken him outside, you need to find other things which get him interested. When he is trying to get out of the door try to introduce a new toy and play with him. If he has not yet been fixed, that will help some too.
P.S. They also make toys for cats that let them be outside and keep them from running away. They are like a long tunnle with toys on them and it is screened in with mesh. Cat's love these, but make sure the cat is well protected against fleas!!
