How do you improve mental strength?
For example a long distance runner at an elite level or a member of the SAS has extreme levels of mental strength the ability to push your self where 99% of others would give up!
Now I have the mental strength of a girl scout due to a soft life and I would like to improve it greatly but its hard to measure your progress or determine your mental strength!
So I would like your suggestions!

What doesnt kill you only makes you stronger.
