ferret question, please read?

i have two 16 month old ferrets, that i got from someone on craigslist. they weren't fed ferret food, they were eating cat food, along with two other ferrets they had. the other two that they kept, were albino and very skinny. so when we got our ferrets home, they were about average weight for their age. and we started giving them actual ferret food. but one of them, bandit, he's been gaining and loosing weight. i'm just wondering if thats normal? it doesn't happen with our other one, and it's never happened with our ferret we used to have.

I think your ferret is fine ferrets lose and gain weight throughout the year especially if they are male. I think you should take your fuzzies to the vet for a check-up just to make sure they are 100% healthy. Sounds like you are takin good care of them, good luck with your fuzzies!
