My cat pees in the corner?

My cat won't go to the bathroom in the litter box, unless we walk him down the stairs after he drinks or eats. When we're not watching him, he goes to the bathroom in a specific corner. It gets really time consuming to watch him, and i was wondering if anyone had any advice for me that would make my cat go in the litterbox? Thanks

hmm, your car probably pees in that same corner because he marked his scent there. Try peroxide and febreeze to take the scent out. Then put a piece of furniture or a gate there to block the cat from getting to that area again. If he still won't use the litter box, just move it to that corner.
