Is it a faux pas to wear a blue tie with a shirt with very thin vertical black stripes?
I don't have very many nice clothes to choose from.
The shirt is white with wire-thin black stripes, the tie is medium blue with some silver diagonal stripes. Looks good to me but I know dick about fashion.
And it's for a job interview, so I do care what people think 
yeah, a little bit. if you dont have a lot of nice clothes or are on a budget, go to marshalls or tj maxx or costco( idk about costco lol) and get some PLAIN dress shirts in like white, light blue, light yellow, light pink, etc and then you can wear whatever ties you have with them,plus theyll be inexpensive. plus, you might want to look into getting some plain ties as well but yeah, that should be okay good luck!!! xoxo <333333333333
